Sculpture by the Sea appears on the shores of Bondi, Cottesloe and Denmark and is a major event on Australia's cultural calendar. At the time of exhibition (2013), the refugee crisis was a major news issue in the country and we developed a concept designed to spark discussion and make people think about where they stand on the topic.
Artist statement: "Thousands of asylum seekers flock to our shores each year, but has the country renowned for supporting multiculturalism and the underdog finally reached its limit?"
